Hours of Scheduled Functions
Events are traditionally held Monday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight, as we only feature one wedding daily for a maximum of six hours. If a client requires the use of the space outside of this time frame, the resort must pre-approve the request. A $400 overtime hourly labor charge will be charged, or a portion thereof, until 12:00 a.m.
Deposit Schedule
To confirm your Montage event, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the minimum estimated charges is due within 14 days of contract. Another payment of 50% of the minimum estimated charges is due 90 days prior to the event. Full payment of the estimated charges is due 30 days prior to the event if paid by personal check. The final payment is due 14 business days before the function if paid by a cashier's check or credit card. This deposit will not be refunded if all or part of the event is cancelled.

Food and Beverage Estimate
Based on your menu selections, the total food and beverage cost will vary. We recommend that you allow $250 to $325 per person for your event.
Special Event Minimum Requirements
For an event Monday through Thursday, the food and beverage minimum is $20,000 accommodating for 80 guests. Should your guest list exceed 80 guests, the food and beverage minimum for each additional guest is $250 per person.
The minimum for Friday and Sunday events is $50,000, accommodating 200 guests. Should your guest list exceed 200 guests, the food and beverage minimum for each additional guest is $250 per person.
The minimum for a Saturday is $80,000, accommodating 320 guests. Should your guest list exceed 320 guests, the food and beverage minimum for each additional guest is $250 per person.
These event minimums do not include a 22% taxable service fee and 8.25% tax. If your actual guest count is less than the established minimum guest count, then the established overall food and beverage minimum fee applies.

Food and Beverage Provisions
Montage Laguna Beach is the sole purveyor of all food and beverages for on-site events. The State of California Liquor Commission regulates the sale and service of alcoholic beverages, and Montage must adhere to these regulations. It is Montage's policy that all alcoholic beverages are provided by the resort only. California law mandates that there is no smoking in any area of service, but an outdoor smoking area can be provided. Dietary substitutions are available upon request.
Special Occasion Cakes
Montage's pastry chef Richard Ruskell will custom-design and prepare a cake just for you. Determined by your cake's design, pricing ranges from $9 to $18 per person. If you choose to supply your own cake, a $6 per person cake cutting fee will be incurred.

Wedding Ceremonies
Montage features a distinctive oceanfront setting, which is ideal for wedding ceremonies. Two lush rolling green lawns with sweeping views of the Pacific, the Pacific and Ocean Lawns, are perched 50 feet above the ocean and can seat up to 450 guests. The lawn venue rental fee is $7,000 and includes white garden chairs, a standing microphone for the Officiant, and two speakers for your musicians.
Décor
Two ballrooms are equipped with beautifully upholstered scalloped-back chairs and a combination of 66-inch round, 72-inch round or 5-foot square tables. Tables are dressed with antique gold or white parchment brocade linen underlay, white Frette linen overlay and white Frette linen napkins. Each setting consists of a gold beaded charger, fine Baucher china, crystal Reidel stemware, Christofle silverware, and three votive candles per table. Also provided is a teak wood dance floor, risers for the band and a 48-inch round cake table. Please contact your wedding Catering Manager for more information on décor, pricing and upgrades.

From pin spot lighting on the floral centerpieces to color washes for depth and drama to full-scale video presentations, Five-Star Audio-Visual has the expertise and necessary equipment to meet your every need.

Entertainment
At Montage Laguna Beach, we hope that your wedding is a truly joyous and memorable occasion. So that we may provide this courtesy to all of our guests, we ask that all outdoor entertainment be non-amplified. In addition, hotel staff may need to lower the volume of indoor amplified music if it adversely affects other guests or functions. All outside entertainment must end at 10:00 p.m., and indoor entertainment by 12:00 a.m.
Wedding Coordinator
Montage requires that you employ an outside professional/certified wedding coordinator for a minimum of two months to assist with your wedding arrangements, ceremony, rehearsal and reception; the resort must pre-approve your coordinator and their qualifications. The wedding coordinator will work with you to coordinate all aspects of your rehearsal and ceremony, and may assist with your vendors, as appropriate. Your Montage wedding Catering Manager can provide you with names of our recommended coordinators.
Parking
A private valet entrance at the Courtyard Porte Cochere will be provided for you and your guests at $10 per car. If you offer hosted valet parking for your guests, we will extend a special $7.50 rate per car. Valet parking is suggested, as the alternative is metered parking which is available until 12 midnight, after which The City of Laguna will ticket. Overnight valet parking is $30 per car.
